Dear Homeowner:
Summer is at an end and Fall is now upon us. September and October are still some of the best months at the Manor for guests and Homeowners. The Board met on Saturday September 12th, 2015 and approved the minutes of June 27th, 2015 and the revised minutes of April 18th, 2015, which are attached for your review.
The Board has made a decision to go “Green” (paperless) beginning January 2016. This means you will no longer receive the Castlegram or any other important information via the postal service, Castlegrams and all other important information and notices will be e-mailed directly to each Homeowner. The Castlegram and Board minutes will still be available on the Manor’s website, www.montaukmanor.com, homeowner password Manor.
Please complete the attached form to update your contact information, make sure to include your e-mail. You can e-mail the form back to jnessel@montaukmanor.com, fax it to 631-668-3535, att:Janice, or mail it in the enclosed envelope.
The Rental Committee has scheduled a Rental Homeowner’s meeting for December 12th, 2015 at 1:00pm. All Homeowners are welcome to attend even those who are not currently participating in the rental program. If you are considering joining the Rental Program you will find this meeting informative. Please RSVP to Janice Nessel, 631-668-4400.
We will be beginning our fall construction project. We are currently working on replacing windows not opening in miscellaneous Units; this is not a major project. Owners of units that will be removed from Rental rotation will be kept informed; we hope to complete this work without interrupting rentals.
This Fall’s landscaping project will include tree trimming and pruning along with deep root fertilization on the front Cherry trees.
One of the next major construction projects in the near future will be the Tower. Joseph and Adrienne Bresnan, Unit 420, submitted their vision of what they would like to see done with the Tower when renovated. The Board is currently exploring this option with Joseph and Adrienne Bresnan.
Our new restaurant, LaFine, had a very successful first season and is now open limited hours, Friday, dinner, Saturday, breakfast, lunch, dinner and Sunday, breakfast, lunch and dinner.
LaFine Restaurant will be doing a New Year’s Eve Party this year.
