Spring has sprung and the daffodils are blooming. It was a very long winter.
This Spring construction projects continue with the repair to pedestals and coping above the northeast west wing, along with replacing and re-pointing bricks as needed. Repair to the Units above the vent room includes the shoring of the existing structure, steel beam repair and replacement, adding new supports, installation of a sister joist, steel beam and column and repair to the underside of decking above.
The Board approved the purchase of new outdoor pool furniture. The outdoor pool is scheduled to open the weekend of May 20th, weather permitting, as we prepare for our next summer season.
The grounds have been cleaned up after a long winter with all beds getting new mulch.
The Board has responded to Homeowners concerns regarding the high cost of credit card fees by offering a new method of paying common charges through ACH Payments directly from your designated bank account. We encourage all homeowners currently paying by credit card to switch to ACH payments as there is no fee. The Board would like to remind all homeowners who rent their Unit for a period of more than 30 days that you are required to use the Condominium Lease that has been approved by the Board. This will ensure that renters as well as Owners acknowledge and follow the Montauk Manor’s “House Rules and Regulations”.
The Board would also like to remind all Homeowners that it is against House Rules and Regulations to feed animals and birds on your balcony, terrace or patio at all times.
In addition, the Board would like to remind all homeowners that your pet must always be leashed, is not permitted to reside in the Lobby area, and must always be cleaned up after.
We will be cleaning up the outside bike rack area and disposing of any old unclaimed bicycles that are currently stored on this rack. Please contact Janice to let her know if you have a bicycle stored on this rack by June 1st, 2018 or the bicycle will be disposed of.
The Annual Homeowners Meeting and Election is scheduled for June 23rd, 2018 followed by a Wine Tasting, and Hors D’oeuvres. Please be sure to participate in our election in-person or by proxy.
